Our Story
Three decades of forging excellence from the industrial heartland of Howrah, West Bengal.
Company Overview
Vikash Forge Pvt. Ltd. was established in 1995 by visionary industrialists in Howrah, West Bengal — India's historic iron and steel hub. What began as a modest forge shop has grown into a comprehensive precision forging facility.
Today, we operate six heavy machines including 5-ton hydraulic hammers, 2-ton pneumatic hammers, large manipulators, and a fully equipped machining centre with VTL and heavy lathes. Our closed and open-die forging capabilities serve clients in Railways, Automotive, Cement, Steel, and Power sectors.
With a skilled team of 80+ forge technicians and a commitment to quality at every stage, we supply forgings that meet IS, DIN, and customer-specific standards with full material traceability and mill test certificates.

To deliver precision-forged components of uncompromising quality that empower India's industries to build stronger, safer, and more efficient machines. We achieve this through relentless investment in people, process, and technology.
To become the most trusted forging partner for industrial clients across South Asia, recognised for our technical expertise, delivery reliability, and commitment to quality that goes beyond certification — it is embedded in our culture.

Material Expertise
Medium Carbon Steel
UTS: 620–850 MPa
Medium carbon steel with good strength and machinability. Ideal for shafts, gears, keys, and general engineering components requiring moderate hardness and toughness.
Cr-Mo Alloy Steel
UTS: 850–1050 MPa
High-tensile chromium-molybdenum alloy steel with excellent toughness and fatigue resistance. Widely used for high-stress components like crankshafts, connecting rods, and worm gears.
Ni-Cr-Mo Alloy Steel
UTS: 1000–1200 MPa
Premium Ni-Cr-Mo alloy steel with outstanding impact toughness and wear resistance. Preferred for the most demanding applications — heavy-duty gears, large pinions, and highly loaded shafts.
Hot-Work Die Steel
Hardness: 38–48 HRC
Premium hot-work tool steel with excellent thermal fatigue and heat-check resistance. Used for dies, punches, and critical tooling in high-temperature forging operations.
Medium Carbon Steel
UTS: 540–700 MPa
Unalloyed medium carbon steel with reliable tensile strength. Widely used for axles, couplings, crane hook nuts, and general structural components.
Crane Grade Carbon Steel
UTS: 600–800 MPa
Heavy-duty carbon steel specially processed for lifting and hoisting equipment. Meets stringent IS 3832 standards — preferred material for crane hook nuts in heavy EOT applications.
Light Crane Grade Steel
UTS: 450–600 MPa
Lighter-grade carbon steel for crane components in moderate-duty applications. Cost-effective solution with reliable mechanical properties for smaller cranes and hoists.
